Ten teams spread across four states and every one of them a mile or more above sea level, a September of long bus rides east, and nine straight Saturdays of league play once it starts. Here is the whole RMAC season, week by week.

Twenty games, then nothing but league play
The RMAC front-loads its non-conference schedule and then never touches it again. Twenty games are played in the opening ten days — against the MIAA, the NSIC, the Lone Star Conference and a handful of NAIA opponents — and not one of them counts.
Then it flips completely. From September 12 onward, every game on the board is a conference game, and the league plays five of them every Saturday until the middle of November. There is one exception and one pause: a single untagged meeting in October, and a full bye weekend on October 10 when nobody plays at all.

Twenty games in ten days, none of them conference games. Eight of the ten teams open on the Thursday.
