The Hornets arrive from the FCS ranks with three Big Sky championships since 2019 and a history of walking into bigger stadiums and winning, having upset Oregon State and Colorado on the road in back-to-back seasons. Sacramento State visits Eastern Michigan in a Friday opener that doubles as their introduction to their new league, then returns home to host Mississippi Valley State.
