2026 NCAA Softball Super Regionals: Preview & Fuel Guide

Sixteen teams. Eight super regionals. Best-of-three, win-or-go-home. Starting Thursday night, the path to the Women’s College World Series narrows to its final eight — and the athletes carrying their programs deserve every bit of fuel you can throw their way.

Here’s your preview, matchup by matchup, with the players and programs to back.

Lincoln Super Regional: No. 4 Nebraska vs. No. 13 Oklahoma State

The big one for fan power. Nebraska softball‘s Jordy Frahm was just named one of three USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year finalists, and she’s the engine of everything the Huskers do — hitting .421 with 19 home runs and going 19-4 with a 1.15 ERA in the circle. She struck out 16 against Grand Canyon to clinch the regional, the most by any Husker in an NCAA Tournament game in over 20 years. Bowlin Stadium is sold out. Oklahoma State softball is bringing red-hot bats to town. The energy is real. Fuel them now.

Los Angeles Super Regional: No. 8 UCLA vs. UCF

UCLA softball‘s Megan Grant is the other POY finalist still standing — and she’s chasing history. Grant set the DI single-season home run record (38) just a week ago, blasted her 40th on Sunday on a grand slam, and now sits one HR away from UCLA’s career record of 90. Six RBIs in the regional final. On the other side, UCF softball is making just the second super regional appearance in program history after stunning Florida State in Tallahassee. Cinderella vs. record-breaker. Both deserve all the fuel you’ve got.

Tuscaloosa Super Regional: No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 16 LSU

SEC heavyweight bloodbath. Alabama softball hasn’t allowed a run since Friday. LSU softball run-ruled their way through Baton Rouge. Top overall seed is on the line — fuel the Tide or back the Tigers, but don’t sit this one out.

Austin Super Regional: No. 2 Texas vs. Arizona State

The defending champs are in danger. Arizona State softball busted through College Station by run-ruling No. 15 Texas A&M 9-1 and now travels to Austin riding pure momentum. Teagan Kavan in the circle for Texas softball vs. ASU’s red-hot bats. Fuel the underdog or fund the title defense.

Norman Super Regional: No. 3 Oklahoma vs. Mississippi State

Mississippi State softball‘s Alyssa Faircloth threw the first NCAA Tournament no-hitter in program history during the Eugene regional, then followed it up with 14 strikeouts to punch the ticket. Now she has to solve Patty Gasso’s Sooners — Oklahoma softball is chasing its fifth title in six years. Back the David. Or fuel the dynasty.

Fayetteville Super Regional: No. 5 Arkansas vs. No. 12 Duke

Arkansas softball is chasing the program’s first-ever WCWS appearance — and they run-ruled all three regional opponents to get here. Duke softball survived the loser’s bracket. Both bats are loaded. This is a tipping-point moment for two programs.

Gainesville Super Regional: No. 6 Florida vs. No. 11 Texas Tech

Ace vs. ace. Keagan Rothrock for Florida softball against Texas Tech softball‘s NiJaree Canady, who’s leading the Red Raiders to a possible WCWS rematch with the team that beat them last year. Tech is 55-6 and looks under-seeded. National spotlight.

Knoxville Super Regional: No. 7 Tennessee vs. No. 10 Georgia

SEC rivalry, first pitch of the entire super regional weekend (Thursday 7 p.m. ET, ESPN2). Tennessee softball and Georgia softball both swept their regionals. Set the tone for the whole weekend right here.

The clock is running. First pitches start Thursday night. Once a series ends, it ends — and so does your window to back these athletes when it matters most.
